McBean left the town all a mess
Everyone's wallets now contain much less.
The chaos of this effort to become one another,
Everyone can now see is not worth the bother.
Within the beaches everyone can see,
A new way to work together, as you and me.
Across lines of difference Sneetches now reach,
To see through the lies in that old McBean's speech.
To be like each other is not really the answer,
But instead leads to jealousy that spreads like a cancer.
For you and for me,
They planted a tree,
A new place to sit,
to play, laugh, talk and sometimes nit.
Improving conditions for Sneetches all around,
Through McBean's selfish deception a new lesson has been found.
