You wander into town not as Billy, but as Billy with a spork. Not much of a change, really, depending on who you ask. But anyways, there's a few choices as to where to go first. Silver Village is pretty small, but there are, of course, some useful stops there. Where will you go? Oh, and just so you know, it's still something of a dumb tutorial to help you get used to things a bit.
