You told him:
"Well, you will make a bad merchant...What positive points can you tell me about him?"
He looks to the howlet, that is turning his head from 110° to the right, like if he was understanding everything and was really interested about what the assistant was about to say:
"To make it short, this small bird has one of the most advanced intelligence we ever saw for a pokemon. It's almost, if it's not totally the case, the same reflexion capacity of a human.
Look at him, he clearly did understand everything I just told you about it."
The howlet let escape a small sound as if was confirming the assistant's theory.
"He probably have a lot of qualities and other secrets that he keeps unknow for the moment. This is why we wanted you to have him as his master. I really hope he will "adopt" you as his master.
He didn't accept any trainer we introduced him since we discovered it... it seems to be able to detect the potential and the character of a trainer only by looking at him. And didn't choose anytime for the moment."
He took a concentrated face and looks at you, before asking:
"Before seeing if our little friends accepts you, do you even want him as your partner ? Your frist teammate ? If you don't want to have him as a part of you and your entire life... Well, I will improvise and see if i can find another solution."
You take a small time to think calmly about it : you are quite worried about the fast that your own pokemon may reject you,that could be really rude to endure.
But just thinking to this cute bird being your travel partner, assisting you in all of your adventures, playing with him, taking care of him ...
You could be the first trainer to gain his confiance.His chosen one! In addition, having a companion with really high mental capacities, able to understand you easily, that is also rare and unknow ... Mystery is always a part of the fun.
All those considerations taken, you face the assistant, claiming with assurance:
"He is perfect! I could not have ask for better like this howlet. What should I have to do to ask him to be my companion ?"
The assistant crossed his arm and answered:
"It's simple, simply kneel a few meters in front of him, and hold your arms out. If he don't want your embrace, it will mean that he don't want you as his trainer."
