Panic overtakes you. Forgetting your training, you drop your weapons and run as fast as you can in the opposite direction, screaming like a girl. You can hear something chasing after you. It is large, close, and fast.
After a few minutes, you break into a small clearing and pause to catch your breath. You listen carefully for any sounds of pursuit, but you can't hear a thing.
The sharp teeth that bite into the back of your neck take you completely by surprise. You never even get to see exactly what killed you.
