You sift through hours of long boring work, but in your mind you know you're getting paid so it's not for nothing. The amulet remains unused and at the end of your working day you go into Mr Charlton's office again. "What happened today?" You ask
"Today was uneventful." He says in a pretty emotionless voice. "In a meeting discussing the interns I didn't bring up our new agreement and fed them the usual drivel. That is all." Satisfied you leave the office and walk home.
