"Why do you need supplies?" You ask, checking the locks on the front door one more time.
"Because everything is going to shut down, if it hasn't already. Anyone who ain't infected is going to rush out and try and get food and water, and most of them will probably end up infected. So you get what you can carry and only when it's safe." She grabs a couple of boxes of macaroni from your cupboard and stashes them in her bag. "Food. Water. Light. Fire. Anything you can carry."
