Everyone agrees that your speech before the United Nations General Assembly was spectacular, outlining the struggles that ordinary citizens within Barataria face under the cruel regime of Blanca, and urging the assembled nations to acknowledge you and the Council as the legitimate government of your nation. After you’re finished, the room erupted into a standing ovation that lasted for several minutes, though you notice that the representative from Blanca’s regime and a few of his allies had walked out.
Your efforts are for naught though, as a few days later the UN Security Council rejected a resolution to recognize your government and lend military support to your cause by a veto from Russia. Apparently Blanca’s friends don’t care about the plight of your people so long as they still get his oil.
All hope is not lost though. Separately, representatives from both the American and Chinese governments ask for a sit-down later in private to discuss aiding you in your cause. They both make clear, that while they have no desire to help you in the open without the approval of the UN, they may be able to aid you in secret if you agree to certain terms.
Meanwhile, a person claiming to represent an interested party in the private sector approaches you and tells you that his boss would like to have a private meeting with you, saying that they will provide aid and support for your cause.
There is no need to rush your decision. You may talk to anyone of the interested parties at your leisure.
