I landed hard on my knees and my momentum pushed me forward until is was practically laying on Toothless.
Thunk
Pain. My right shoulder burned with pain. The axe had landed right next to my shoulder-blade. I didn't think it broke any bones.
The vikings holding Toothless down backed away with shock.
"Hiccup" My father said, voice filled with pain. Toothless growled at him, before turning his head towards me. He crooned, trying to lift my face so he could see if I was alright.
