It took one full month for wilhem to reach kohln manor. He was hoping the marriage proporsal for dukes cousin will be completed but the duke refused citing civil war as the reason.

Wilhems army was severly low on supplies. The scortched earth had worked. He was now stealing from citizens to pay and feed his army. While kohlns cash reserves reamain. Desertation and starvation had made it at 2500 strong.

He attacked soon. adolf and me flanked by our bodygaurds rained arrows from the central keep.

You would instruct adolf to look into any breach areas. The soldiers and generals were impressed with my competence and started calling me "little boots"

The frontal attack was a disaster and he lost a 1000 men. i lost the same amount oweing to their quality soldiers but we kept our defenses .

They started sieGing the castle. But they were the ones who were starving. After 6 months of siege wilhems soldiers had enough of looting their own country for food and were weary.

My commanders recommended going out and finishing the job. 2000 vs 1500. I knew we still could lose. Instead i chose to declare publicly through sildiers that any soldier who surrenders or leaves the army or delivers wilhem wont be considered a deserter or prosecuted.

Wilhem was to be delivered alive only. In 5 days they had surrendered with a live wilhem in a burr bag.

I immediately accepted wilhems surrender and abdication. The standing army was paid and rationed and disbanded for now. My mother and sister soon joined me to pledge their allegance.

I imprisoned my mother for treason as i knew where her allegance lied. Isabel i welcomed at my court as a lady in waiting under katelyn. How the tides have changed indeed.
