You get up quietly while he's turned away. You look around and try to think of the best way out of this.
Your room is closest. It'd be easier to get in and shut the door, but your door isn't very sturdy and the lock isn't great.
The basement has a sturdy door and lock. If it's unlocked you could get down and lock the door behind you, and they wouldn't be able to get in. Your parents haven't let anyone down there for a long time though, so it's probably locked.
The front door is the closest exit from the house. However, the knob and deadbolt are locked, and that extra second or so that you fumble with the lock could be all they need to catch you.
The back door should be open, or at least unlocked. But you don't know if there's anyone else between you and that door.
Your parents room has a sturdier door and lock. They also have a land line in their room. However, you don't know if anyone's in there right now. If these people are here to steal your family's belongings, your parents keep their safe in their bedroom and someone might be in there trying to get into it.
