You make yourself comfortable in the waiting room as the last several minutes of your life tick away.
Five minutes left. Four minutes, three minutes.
"Nancy Smith?" a nurse calls from the doorway. A young woman supporting a broken arm gets up and follows her out.
Your internal clock slips below two minutes remaining.
"Hi. What is your name?" a little voice asks you. You look down and find a young boy has found his way over to you. He holds a small toy car in either hand.
