After waiting at the bus-stop for a few minutes, hands in the pockets of your new coat, you take Berlin's famous public transit to the Reichstag, the seat of the German parliament. Once you step off the bus, with a shiver, you join the line of tourists looking to get on a tour. You actually end up chatting with an Australian couple about barbecue techniques and rain, and aren't standing out in the line for a few minutes before they shuffle your group into the building. Inside, it's slightly warmer, and you soon forget your annoyance at the temperature as the tour guide takes you around the building, point out paintings from past centuries, murals stolen from the French, security measures installed during the Cold War, and many more interesting historical bits and bobs. Eventually, the Australian woman leans over, and whispers in your ear.

(Under construction, branch #2)

Reichstag, well-dressed, meeting intern.

"Hey, this bit is supposed to be amazing." She says. You nod, and in a moment, gasp as she's proved correct. The guide pushes open double iron doors, to reveal the huge glass dome of the Reichstag, where the whole dome is ringed by layer after layer of ramps, leading up to the summit. With a grin, he leaves you to gaze at the city of Berlin.
