The PlayStation series began long ago, when the pyramids were still young. Or rather Polygons. Yes thats it. When the polygons were still young.

Nintendo began to take notice of the growing competition from CD-based consoles. So they enlisted Sony to help them design a CD-drive for the SNES. However, Sony wanted rights over the games made for the SNES-CD; and Nintendo, not accepting this, broke off the deal and simply helped Philips with the CD-i. It Failed.

However, the idea of a video game console had been put in Sony's brains. So they created the PlayStation, which went on to be considered the best video game console evur, because of its design, controller, and library of games. The PlayStation also perfected the genre of adult games, unlike the Atari 2600.

Later in what could be considered as the plot of Spider Man 3 happening, the black PlayStation 2 was released, initially a better console, but when the curse known as nostalgia set in, the original proved to be better.

Then the end of Spider Man 3 happened when Venom split from Peter and they had to fight. The PlayStation 3 was a darker black and was also bigger than its predecessor and is also overall a less good console then the other two, even though everything about it looks cooler.
