The Bracelet That Never Matches
Level [X] Token
At 'rest', this torc bracelet looks like a somewhat old and tarnished brass band with just enough durability left in its brittle form to be taken off one more time before it breaks. However, it holds some added strength, allowing the wearer to radically alter their appearance and behavior, given the proper tools. After donning a suitable disguise, forming a basic 'personality' in one's mind and speaking the full name of the 'person' the uses wishes to become, activating the charm reshapes the user's body to fit the given 'props', even altering gender and (to a reasonable degree) size and shape. This effect lasts anywhere from four to twelve hours in four-hour increments, imparting the [X] Again bonus to suitable rolls (most often Subterfuge).
- Action: Instant
- Mien: The torc unfailingly looks somewhat off, like a keepsake one wears regardless of their outfit or background.
- Drawback: The token works almost too well sometimes. At the start of every four hour increment, the user must roll Willpower. Success allows continued normal use (or cessation of the token's powers), although every additional check incurs a cumulative 1-die penalty. Failure forces the user completely into the personality, to the point that they forget who they really are to begin with and unconsciously continue to use the token's effects until the entire 12 hours are up.
- Catch: The torc actively digs into the user's wrist, distracting them constantly. All n-Again effects are negated for the duration of the token's use.
