Exgetilians are part of the Arkyonitan Empire, and are one of the two founding races of the Empire, with the other being the Aesladae. Exgetilians have been described as the "pure breed" of Arkyonitans for they were the original true ones to their god, Arkyonite. They symbolize the pure essence of Arkyonite and embody his traits. Only they have the right to commune with the Arkyonite himself, and only they command the power to do so too.
Exgetilians and the Aesladae may appear to look alike, but when one zooms in onto the various parts of the anatomy of both, one would see stark differences between the Exgetilians and Aesladae. Because of those differences, Exgetilians' anatomies appear to be much superior to that of the Aesladae, hence their arrogance. Another point to note in the differences between the Exgetilians and Aesladae is that an average Exgetilian outlives at least 3 generations of Aesladae. To be exact, they simply live 3 times as long as the Aesladae. Aesladae are actually a subrace of the Exgetilians. But as a collective, both races are simply referred to as Arkyonitans.
Any attempt to describe the Exgetilians as nothing more than glorified featherless birds that have taken the shape of humans is as disservice as attempting to describe dragons as nothing more than glorified lizards with wings and breath weapons. Their appearance deceives the entirety of their mystic entities. As the human saying goes, "bird-brained" does not apply to them. In fact, their intelligence abounds all aspects of the word "genius" with respect to humans'. It is said that even the least intelligent of Exgetilians have the intellect of 5 humans put together.
It is not known whether the Exgetilians or the even the Aesladae are distant cousins of dragons the same way Draconians - ones of dragon born - are to them, the dragons. For according to human sources, birds have been derived from reptiles. Since dragons are classified under reptiles, and Exgetilians and Aesladae are classified as birds, it is assumed that Exgetilians and Aesladae are long lost cousins of the dragons.
