Too many "pirate" games use a softer, fuzzier image of pirate behavior. Other games allow you to be mean, but only to NPC characters.
Aiming at authenticity regarding social interactions between players in this virtual world, activities such as bribery, theft, and lying are acceptable.
This will tend to upset a user who is the target of said activity, and in which case you should point them here to correct their expectations.
That being said, there are plenty of activities that will get you booted from the game, and just because you are a pirate, doesn't mean you have a license to be rude without reason. The general rules are
- Engaging in negative behavior towards other players is only acceptable when it leads to direct financial gain
- Emotional bullying and any real world threats are not acceptable
- Cracking or abusing the server that the game runs on is unacceptable
- if you would like to run a bot, contact me and I will set up an API for you
- Creating multiple accounts is unacceptable (one account per user)
- Attempting to gain access to another user's account is unacceptable
- Using modern day profanity or ethnic slurs is unacceptable
