Skálavík [ skɔalavɔʏk ] is the second largest municipality in Kalduroyar, and the largest part of Vindioyar County. Skálavík consists of two islands, Lítla Dimun and Skúvoy, and is administrated from the industrial city Skálavík at Skúvoy. The name Skálavík means bowl (skál) and bay (vík) in Faroese, and got it's name because of the shape of the site it's built on.
