Penguin Chat 3 was the predecessor to Club Penguin and went offline November 2005 shortly after Club Penguin opened to the public. Penguin Chat 3 is notable as you could play as a ninja, something that has not been implemented into Club Penguin. As of November 2008 Club Penguin has released Ninjas once again to the public.
Reasons for being taken offline
- It can only hold 100,000,000,000,000 players maximum.
- Legality issues with Club Penguin.
- No advanced features like buddy lists, player cards, mini-games, clothing, or igloo furniture.
