Seemingly a fairly new development: asymmetric "ergonomic" register key. Similarly shaped register keys have existed on saxes for a long time. See discussions:

Marigaux	RS Symphonie	2001 or earlier - 2003?	Clarinet BBoard, Hochstrasser.org	Hochstrasser.org	Marigaux stopped making clarinets in about 2003. The Symphonie is mentioned on their web site in 2001 (earliest archived date).
Ridenour	TR-147	? - 2006	Clarinet BBoard	rsholmes	Earlier versions of the TR-147 had a standard register key.
	Lyrique	2007 -	Clarinet BBoard	Ridenour	Earlier versions of the Lyrique (early 2007) had a standard register key. Quoted comments from Tom Ridenour (see discussion) suggest there may have been legal reasons for not using the asymmetric key from the beginning.
