In-Game History

Zidane was born, though saying born is a rather strange way of putting it (considering his conception was unconventional), along with his twin sister, Mikoto. The two of them were doted upon as Garland's prized pets. He wanted them to follow in his footsteps to be the best brainwashed children they could be. For years it seemed to work with Zidane but eventually he became aware that he was simply being used or experimented with.

He plays the part of their father's "perfect son"; good grades, perfect little boy doing perfectly what his father wants. But what he really wants is to be free to do what he wants. He envies his older brother because of this, he sees Kuja as having more freedom to do as he wishes compared to himself who is always under the watchful eye of their father. But he also looks up to him, despite his odd taste in clothes (not that Zidane has much room to talk).

As a way of being his own person he became quite a klepto, if it wasn't nailed down and was pocket-able it was gone. He's also quite the flirt, though he really lack the skills to be able to woo anyone.

Between things mysteriously disappearing and his brother's odd choice in clothing (which got him and Mikoto teased) they were forced to move. Now in Clairbourn, Garland hopes that things will go better and that his problem child will behave like a proper young man. Only problem is is that Zidane is growing tired of being a good little boy so things might get more out of hand in this new school, only time will tell.
