Creationists, like Flat-Earthers and other alternative "science" supporters, are regularly bashed by current science approaches and researches. However, there're a significant minority in United States who belong to that camp, and some of them state their opinion of earthlings as designed by alien intelligence, hence the "Intelligent Design", I.D. for short.

I.D. is considered as a variant of creationism, and is bashed no less harshly by evolutionists and other people who question both Darwinism and Creationism.
