Living in the dark desolate lands of Scotland, Kan was forced to make his own entertainment with just a candle, a stick of chalk and a large rock, into which he developed his first drawings. As technology in the country gradually caught up with the rest of Britain (far advancing Wales), he began to realise the full wealth of equipment and advances made in the industry. It is for this reason that it has only been in the past few months that Kan has truly begun experimenting with different art styles. He was also sick of hunting Haggis'.

*Kan enjoys being left-wing, and supports the Liberal Democrats. That said, the Political Compass thingy quite happily puts him right next to Gandhi, a fact he is not pleased about as he is sure he has a better dress sense than the Indian leader. He is also rather bitter about Gandhi betraying and waging war against him all too often in Civ3 - a possible reason why Kan does not like the game.

In Off-Topic itself, Kan' Sharuminar remains relatively quiet, quite happy to lurk in political and religious threads to enjoy over-the-top arguments. He is far happier to play around in the more lightweight threads of various forms, though has a rather nasty habit of posting in a thread then completely forgetting about it until several weeks later.

Kan is probably more well known in Off-Topic for drawings of various images - usually of CFC members - in several threads. Originally this began with the [[DYOS]] thread, though his participation has dropped due to disenchantment and difficulty with keeping up with storylines. Nowadays he simply posts light-hearted strips in the thread, poking fun at members or CFC as a whole before going wandering for a month.

Slightly more important was the creation of the "[http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=196360| Members Picture Quiz II]" in which 53 posters were displayed in glorious flame war. A third Picture Quiz is not planned until later on in the year, as Kan is currently screaming and shouting at pieces of paper and pencils as they don't seem to be drawing new member additions properly.

Kan can also be found in the Humour and Jokes, Site Feedback and the Civ4 forums, though can be seen wandering lost in the Civ2 and NES sections as well. He is far more prolific in the All Other Games forums, where he fights a losing battle for supremacy of the region with his arch nemesis [[Till]]. While recovering from battles he takes refuge in another form of creativity - writing 'After Action Reports' of games he is playing. These include the completed [http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=180663| Written by the Victors], as well as the ongoing [http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=199029| Kandammerung] and [http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=186238| Heart of Empire] stories. These "AAR's" encourage member participation to make the whole thing more amusing for all. Kan also participates in several 'Forum Games,' though his ability to forget about when and where he posted can prove more crippling here.
