The apartments lsited are in Playa des Americas in Tenerife; close to the sea and shops and the main tourist town.  I know that Parque Santiago III is adjacent to a shopping mall but other than that I have no experience of these specific apartments (go to Tenerife websites where they are sure to be lsited somewhere).  Your kids will love Playa as its noisy and fun.  I always stay at Royal Palm in Los Christianos (next door to Playa)  a privately owned complex of apartments 10 minutes stroll from the hustle and bustle of the seafront.  There is plenty to see and do in Tenerife; try to go on a trip into the interior of the island at least once so you realise it's not just sea and sand.  With the pound weak against the euro at the moment things are not so cheap anymore.  Drinks and eating out are more expensive than usual so do your homework when you are there and find the  special offers'.    Weatherwise, like everywhere else in the world nowadays, sunshine is not guaranteed.  You are likely to have sunshine but even if it rains it won't be cold.  Also, it is normal to have cloudy weather (due to close proximity of mountains) but you can still get sunburnt!  Have a great time! I love the island.
