A relatively young republic, the city has recently recognized a new Constitution. While the city has an Invictus "Praetor" (Essentially a Prince, head of the executive branch) he was elected into this position and recognizes the Senate's ability to remove him.
The Proconsul (head of the Legislative branch) is also an Invictus, but is considered fairly liberal and is known to have several Carthian friends. Overall, a safe city to travel to.
