'''Faia''' was born September 21st 1983, in Wilmington, Delaware. Dragged into Canonwars by [user:Lins|Lins] to play [[Zaraki Kenpachi]] from ''Bleach'' and eventually [[Iroh]] from ''Avatar : The Last Airbender'', Faia has been RPing since age 12, starting with ''Dungeons & Dragons'' ever since that fateful night she accidentally stepped on an errant Gnoll figurine dropped by her cousin who was setting up for his game. Apparently having an inch-high peice of metal almost embedded into your left foot is a great catalyst for getting into a game. After her cousin and his buddies moved on from D&D due to said cousin enrolling in the Army and being sent to drive tanks in the first Gulf War, Faia continued her rampant love of RP through various console games, ''Final Fantasy IV'' and ''Chrono Trigger'' still her favorites. Her family finally bought their own PC when she was 16, and a rampant love of internet-based RP was born. Getting her start in a text-based game that revolved around the American version of the anime ''Yoroiden Samurai Troopers'' (''Ronin Warriors'' in the States), Faia played 7 different characters through the old egroups/yahoo!groups mailing list for 4 years. Still harboring a love of tabletop games, she's played everything from ''Vampire'' to ''Werewolf'' in the ''World of Darkness'' series by White-Wolf. Shortly after the Ronin Warriors game retired she volunteered to play as a much-needed Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop in her first LJ-based RP. Beboprpg has since moved on to greener pastures, but it started Faia on her habitual playing of unpopular characters (who happen to be her favorite in whatever series they're from) who usually happen to be older and male. (Paging Dr. Freud, paging Dr. Freud...) She's mostly known for playing Cid Highwind in 5 different games at one time along with Auron and Amarant Coral. When not apeing canon characters in whatever RP she's in, Faia has boatloads of OCs and original universes floating around in her abnormally-large head. Often referred to as her head-kids (or head-monsters), it's not rare to hear her griping about having the most severe multiple-personality disorder ever given to one person.
When not engaged in her rampant subconcious escapisim, Faia dabbles in drawing and writing, with an 'if life were perfect' aspiration to become published. A reformed yaoi fangirl, she pretty much hates slash in any form - and merely mentioning Cid x Vincent in her presence will send her into a foam-mouthed rage. Fond of tirades and rants and rambles, Faia is currently an unemployed chainsmoking alcoholic with too much time on her hands and a bizarre combination of low-grade narcolepsy and insomnia. She faithfully watches Good Eats, Iron Chef and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, M*A*S*H, and Mythbusters, and considers her most important purchase of the last ten years to be Thundercats on DVD. Old school in every sense of the word, her favorite anime and manga are the old kind before 'things started looking generic' with the advent of CG anime. Favorite bands are Metallica and Led Zeppelin, with her favorite genre being classic rock and jazz and blues. (Also goes absolutely nuts for Motown.)

Trivia
- A hardcore fan of the series Dragonball and Dragonball Z (the Japanese-language version, mind). Tends to admit that it's the only thing she claim to be a 'snooty elitist' on as she's loved the series for half her life.
- Posesses the unique ability to sleep standing up.
- Has a habit of belting out Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing' at inappropriate times.
- Plays City of Heroes and World of Warcraft but is the slowest leveller in ZE WARUDO.
- Is a Star Wars nerd, big time. Recently 'outed' herself admitting she'd fallen to the Dark Side and was no longer Jedi, but Sith.
- Speaks Italian, some Elvish, and has a tendency to babble in her horribly-broken German.
- Hates stupidity, elitists, fanthings, goths, emo, nu-metal, spiders, her overactive imagination sometimes, Iron Chef America, and warm beer.
