Terrence 'Terry' McGinnis is the successor of the Batman title in the DC Animated Universe. He actually stole the title, more or less, but he eventually proved himself to Bruce Wayne, who let him keep the title. Eventually it was found out that Bruce is Terry's biological father, due to Amanda Waller's determination to create a Batman heir. He went from a trouble maker who once spent time in Juvie to a very responsible and capable young man, and lives up to the title bestowed upon him.
