When it comes to Tank Girl, the short biography of her life is 'She's a crazy bitch.' It is a very accurate biography.
The long of it is, Tank Girl is former Australian Military, where she was given a tank, much to her delight. After failing in a mission to prevent the president from embarassing himself, she got booted out, and has since been a bounty hunter, adventurer, the aforementioned 'crazy bitch', and many other things.
She's irrational, violent, loves to drink, do various drugs (A specialty known as the Worthington B-52 being her absolute favorite), fuck, and a great other deal of tasteless activities.
Though she'll put her boot in your ass for something as mundane as, say, enjoying the band Styx, Tank Girl has actually managed to make some friends. Her boyfriend, Booga, is one example - Booga loves Tank Girl to death, Tank Girl abuses his love, repeat. Tank Girl will be very disappointed if Booga shows up on Purgatory sans his Kangaroo features. Other friends before purgatory include Jet Girl, Sub Girl, a mental escapee girl by the name of Barney, her ex Stevie, a stuffed animal by the name of Camp Koala, and her own creators, Jamie Hewllett and Alan Martin. This means that Tank knew far before reaching Purgatory that she was a comic book. She thinks Hewllett is wasting his time on this 'Gorillaz' thing and deserves a good kick in the knob.
Tank Girl has so far been arrested in Purgatory for: Destruction of public property, operating a tank under the influence, operating a tank without a license, posession of narcotics, and breaking out of jail.
While in jail, her favorite thing to do at the moment is try and make strap-ons out of whatever's available and look towards prison sexing the other inmates. Or the wardens.
Tank Girl since has left the jail - under not entirely legal terms - reclaimed her tank, and is currently hitting the drugs pretty hard, which makes her even more erratic, and apt to spouting poetic things.
