- [17:44] Rimblade: "You can't actually be here. It's, you know, moderately impossible, and whatnot."
- [17:44] kyle_the_arch_paladin: well exuse me
- [17:44] kyle_the_arch_paladin: im new here
- [17:44] Little_Brown_Box: Spatial paradox.
- [17:45] Little_Brown_Box: Whoo-hoo.
- [17:45] * Rimblade sighs, and shrugs.
- [17:45] Little_Brown_Box: ((Nono, no criticism. Just telling you.))
- [17:45] kyle_the_arch_paladin: and thx to you i dont plain on staying here
- [17:45] Rimblade: "Have I given offense?"
- [17:46] * FrogPlushie giggles madly.
- [17:46] Little_Brown_Box: You did WHAT to the fence?
- [17:46] Falerin: Offense is taken not given
- [17:46] Little_Brown_Box: You dirty little hilt...man...thing.
- [17:46] * Lkeas glances up from Zeltan's scrolls at the familiar voice.
- [17:46] Little_Brown_Box: Ooh, the voices are BAAAAaaaaack.
- [17:46] * Little_Brown_Box spins in a tight circle.
- [17:47] FrogPlushie: Lies, the voices only talk to me!
- [17:47] Little_Brown_Box: Get your own voices!
- [17:47] Falerin: Knock it off Counterfeit or I will be forced to low level format
- [17:47] Little_Brown_Box: That's just draconian.
- [17:47] * Little_Brown_Box ceases its spinning.
- [17:47] Falerin: I am the God of Evil
- [17:48] Falerin: I cannot only accomplish Draconian I can accomplish outright diabolical
- [17:48] * Lkeas smiles a little. "This we know well."
- [17:48] Little_Brown_Box: Ooh...
- [17:48] Rimblade: "Oh ho? Outlets to the Lower PLanes, wot have you?"
- [17:48] Little_Brown_Box: Tempting opening, but no thanks.
- [17:48] Little_Brown_Box: Not gonna do it.
- [17:48] * Damsel laughs oftly.
- [17:48] * Falerin materializes
- [17:48] Lkeas: LoreMaster, I have a question..
- [17:48] Falerin: You often do prophetess.
- [17:48] Falerin: I may have an answer
- [17:48] Lkeas: Of all the communicants of The'Galin, why did you choose Galrick to be your ward?
- [17:49] Falerin: Mu
- [17:49] Lkeas: You did not choose him?
- [17:49] Dale: (( ROFL ))
- [17:49] Falerin: The question is invalid on two fronts
- [17:49] Falerin: it supposes that I selected Galrick directly
- [17:49] Falerin: it supposes that I selected Galrick solely
- [17:50] Lkeas: I see.
- [17:50] Falerin: I suggest you read certain dialog with Myr of stonedeep
- [17:50] Falerin: It may prove elucidative
- [17:50] Lkeas: Ah, I had forgotten about that..
- [17:50] Falerin: As for Galrick. I selected him because he was amenable
- [17:50] Falerin: I was able to get to him very early
- [17:51] Falerin: before he really understood what it was he had done
- [17:51] Falerin: before he became enmeshed in it
- [17:51] Lkeas: Ah..
- [17:51] Falerin: That said I believe confrontation makes it known that Myr is in fact in my employ as well
- [17:51] Rimblade: "Mmm. He might get more girls on Lore if he abandoned his terranesque hairstyle."
- [17:52] Lkeas: We were just discussing possible candidates for the next Manifestation and his name came up, is all. Since Myr is off the list.
- [17:52] Falerin: Hmm... you observed my little dialog then did you
- [17:52] Lkeas: Indeed.
- [17:52] Dale: "I dunno. He may get Celestra yet, Rimblade."
- [17:52] Falerin: Given the ascension of hope something that did not exist on his previous visit
- [17:53] Falerin: Manifestation may in fact be far more complicated then it appears
- [17:53] Rimblade: "Nonsense, my good man Dale! She's obviously of the strong-willed persuasion, likely to take offense to his advances."
- [17:53] Rimblade: "Unless..."
- [17:53] Falerin: It is unclear if such a fragmentary and unaware annunaki can hinder the process
- [17:53] Damsel: "Mmm... that does seem likely..."
- [17:53] Rimblade: "He were to approach her AFTER The'Galin's manifestation!"
- [17:53] Lkeas: Is that its goal? Hope wishes to interfere with the Manifestation?
- [17:53] * TaloToecan yawns slightly. "Many things do tend to be more complicated than we give credit for."
- [17:54] Falerin: Goal.. Why should I know Hope's goal
- [17:54] Falerin: I am not even fully sure of Hope's nature
- [17:54] Grett: Falerin, I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing, but is it at all possible for mortals to force a god to manifest in a suitable host?
- [17:54] Falerin:: Or the nature of the chosen/chosen one
- [17:54] Lkeas: Well.. why would you consider that its ascension would complicate the Manifestation?
- [17:54] Rimblade: "I'd think that would depend on the god, and the system of divinity in place."
- [17:55] Falerin: Can a god be forced to manfiest
- [17:55] Rimblade: "I mean, the followers of Diggert were rumored to be able to make him come to their aid."
- [17:55] Falerin:: That is the question?
- [17:55] Falerin:: That depends
- [17:55] Little_Brown_Box: Wow.
- [17:55] Rimblade: "Even though he really didn't like them."
- [17:55] Little_Brown_Box: I think I'm going crazier than I was before.
- [17:55] Little_Brown_Box: Funfunfun.
- [17:55] Lkeas: Ah, Grett, are you thinking of the previous conversation, about the sign of Omega?
- [17:55] Dale: Hey, box.
- [17:56] * Dale whispers.
- [17:56] Dale: Fulcan's wings... They're red.
- [17:56] Rimblade: "And Ao cast down the gods of Faerun for a bit."
- [17:56] Little_Brown_Box: Red?
- [17:56] Rimblade: "I guess that could work the other way."
- [17:56] Little_Brown_Box: RED?!
- [17:56] Falerin: Ao is a God
- [17:56] Little_Brown_Box: Yeah.
- [17:56] Little_Brown_Box: I noticed.
- [17:56] Dale: Yes.
- [17:56] Dale: Red.
- [17:56] Rimblade: "'Leastwise the Mad one thought he could cast down Ao."
- [17:56] Little_Brown_Box: Mhm.
- [17:56] Rimblade: "And that'd be about the same thing."
- [17:56] Falerin: Gods can make God's do things
- [17:56] TaloToecan: "There...are probably ways that mages could attempt to match a God..."
- [17:56] Falerin: And yes in some cosmologys it is possible to summon a God agaisnt it's will
- [17:57] Falerin: But it most assuredly would not respond as desired at that summoning
- [17:57] Rimblade: "Mmm. I think it's not so much the appelation of 'God', but the limits of any entity being dealt with."
- [17:57] Rimblade: "Planeswalkers can be forced to manifest, and they have been compared to gods."
- [17:57] Falerin: There is a far less dramatic issue
- [17:57] Rimblade: "Nope. I have to think it's based on narrative causality."
- [17:58] Falerin: The'Galin would have to justify his choice not to manifest
- [17:58] FrogPlushie: ... Fulcan can be compared to a god? Oi, I think my mind just shattered.
- [17:58] Lkeas: Why should he have to justify it?
- [17:58] Little_Brown_Box: Shush. That was pre-emptive and you know it.
- [17:58] Falerin: Let us be logical. The Network are corrupt and nasty individuals
- [17:59] Little_Brown_Box: 'cause it'd look bad if he right-aligned it.
- [17:59] Little_Brown_Box: I mean, MSW is an arse that way.
- [17:59] Falerin: They have their own ideas about what should be done and how
- [17:59] Lkeas: Yes, but... he's the uncreator, after all. Unmatched power, all that stuff.
- [17:59] Falerin: He rules not just by pure power
- [17:59] Falerin: but because he commands their respect and obedience
- [17:59] Falerin: If he behaved in a way they considered overtly inconsistent
- [18:00] Little_Brown_Box: Oh.
- [18:00] Little_Brown_Box: This smells significant.
- [18:00] Falerin: They may not in fact damage him
- [18:00] Lkeas: Ah, so if he loses their respect, they start doing nasty things.
- [18:00] Little_Brown_Box: Bells are going off and stuff.
- [18:00] Dale: Then they would no longer pray to him... and he would lose power, or something like that?
- [18:00] Falerin: No
- [18:00] Falerin: Lorian deities are not worshipped in that manner
- [18:00] Rimblade: "The gods of Lore don't have belief-driven power, do they... righty."
- [18:01] * Dale shrugs
- [18:01] Falerin: They have a communicancy and it is different
- [18:01] Falerin: They may not in fact damage him
- [18:01] Lkeas: Perhaps acting against those he would have considered sparing..
- [18:01] Falerin: But they might turn their disobedience against their current whereabouts
- [18:01] Falerin: And abandon in an organized fashion
- [18:01] Falerin: The damage to Lore might be incalculable
- [18:01] * Lkeas nods gravely.
- [18:02] Falerin: The network might in fact induce sufficent corruption to restult in it being unsalvagable in fact
- [18:02] Falerin: They are a loaded gun
- [18:02] Falerin: And The'Galin walks a tight rope
- [18:02] Damsel: "Stray just a little..."
- [18:02] Falerin: not that he would brook disobedience individually
- [18:02] Little_Brown_Box: Seems kinda silly for him to put himself in that position.
- [18:02] Falerin: but in an organized fashion
- [18:03] Falerin: I should not want to be arround for the result
- [18:03] Rimblade: "This is just why he ought to have used an army of robots."
- [18:03] Falerin: Of course this is idle speculation
- [18:03] Falerin: There exist numerous other possibilities
- [18:03] Lkeas: Or golems, Rimblade?
- [18:03] Little_Brown_Box: I don't like this feeling.
- [18:03] Falerin: Not least of which that someone is already selected for the manifestation and only the highest members know the fact
- [18:04] Little_Brown_Box: It's like something really important just happened and I missed it.
- [18:04] FrogPlushie: But... But... You can't have a decent conversation with an army of Golems.
- [18:04] Falerin: Or another possibility being that The'Galin desires a manifestation that is disposable
- [18:04] * Lkeas frowns. "Someone that The'Galin chose? Or someone that the agents chose hoping to bring about the Manifestation on their own terms?"
- [18:04] Rimblade: "Urhm. An avatar he wouldn't mind having slain?"
- [18:04] Falerin: Indeed
- [18:05] Falerin: Both are possible Lkeas
- [18:05] Falerin: I will not venture to speak to either
- [18:05] * Eitak_Razal walks though the door, haveing heard fal's statment. "You may be right"
- [18:05] Falerin: I am just throwing out possibilities
- [18:05] Lkeas: Right..
- [18:05] Falerin: It seems clear that the host of the manifestation though be a willing one
- [18:05] Falerin: Myr did not fit that bill
- [18:06] Eitak_Razal: Remember when I was in the hut. It showed him useing ME as a host.
- [18:06] Falerin: He was influenced by the Cold
- [18:06] Damsel: "Hmmm... well that narrows things down a little..."
- [18:06] Little_Brown_Box: Erm...even if the Network picked a candidate, how would they force The'Galin to use it?
- [18:06] Falerin: of course arguably even under the cold it is still free will
- [18:06] Lkeas: Ryuusei's name came up, as he seemed rather enthusiastic about serving, but the question arose of whether The'Galin would find him suitable himself.
- [18:06] Falerin: But apparently that did not convince The'Galin
- [18:06] * TaloToecan shudders in memory of the Cold.
- [18:06] Falerin: Especially as myr continued to fight the Cold
- [18:07] FrogPlushie: ... Oh, I don't think anyone would mind killing Ryuusei.
- [18:07] Falerin: If someone easily gave into the Cold things might....
- [18:07] Eitak_Razal: The cold is unplesent....
- [18:07] Falerin: ... hmmm ....
- [18:07] Falerin: Omega can control minds
- [18:07] TaloToecan: "Unpleasant...isn't the half of it."
- [18:07] Eitak_Razal: I know.
- [18:07] FrogPlushie: He should use Drakath... ~
- [18:07] Falerin: how disturbing....
- [18:07] Eitak_Razal: I've felt it Talo.
- [18:07] Lkeas: Was that Omega itself that was controlling Blackhawke?
- [18:07] Lkeas: Or some sort of being in its employ?
- [18:07] * Falerin vanishes without answer
