They are shapeshifters, often taking the form of hooded figures with no faces (hence the term faceless). Supposedly their "true" form is that of large lizards. Apparently their goal is to find food sources, or "hosts" that they feed on. This food is not physical, but rather, they feed on souls/energies/auras of other beings. They have enslaved the Cor Dem in order to help them achieve this goal.
