Hello! I'm Rin and I'm going to explain this ultra fun game to you.

Basic stuff

Ok. Well basically you RP. Roleplaying is sort of like pretending to be someone you're not. For example you could RP as a hippie in the game but you don't have to be a hippie in real life. In a PM a mod will give you a role. Some roles include: Seer, Silver Bullet, Werewolf, Witch. If you don't get a PM it's assumed your a villager. The roles and they're meanings are [[1]]Ok. Few rules now...

Rules!

1. Do not tell anyone your role unless it's the mod asking you.
2. Do not say anything about roles in the OOC.
3. You don't have to be stone dead serious about this but it's not a joke.
4. Mod's words are law.
5. No ban evading.
6. No flaming.
7. No talking at night, during a game pause, or before 'Game Start!'
8. NO CHATSPEAK, LEET, OR SMILIES!
9. Have fun!

A lot of rules but they need to be followed.

The Game

A game wil almost always start wih <>Ambiance<> saying the setting and basic things you need to know. Here's a fake one so you get the idea:
<>Ambiance<> In the small village of Amoore, the sun rose bring heat and litte to the simple town.
<>Ambiance<> It had rained the night before, pleasing the local farmers.
<>Ambiance<> It was a simple life, they had simple needs. They barely left the village and when they did it wasn't for long.
<>Ambiance<> GAME START!

You don't start talking until it says 'Game Start' or something to that effect. Some mods are very strict on that.

After Game starts, you RP. Some examples could be:

* Rin awakens to sun through the window. She walks outside and greets her fellow villagers.
<Rin> Hello everyone!
<Sarah> Hello, Rin. How's you week been?
<Rin> It's been fine. Your's?
<Sarah> It's been really good!

Now, in some cases the mod will let the game play through to night by itself, but other mods may make a plot, such as going to a war base or having a town meeting. Let's assume there's no plot. The ambiance may give time throughout the day such as "<>Ambiance<> Afternoon".

<>Ambiance<> Early Evening.
<Sarah> It's getting late, we should get to bed.
<Bob> Agreed. See you guys tomorrow.
* Steve walks to his home and climbs in bed.
<Rin> Night.
* Rin walks home.
<>Ambiance<> Night time! No more talking!

Now no one talks. Let's say in this game there's a werewolf, a seer, and a guardian angel. The ambiance might go something like this:

<>Ambiance<> Angel protect...
(The angel would then through PM pick who to save from the wolf(s))
<>Ambiance<> Wolf feed...
(The wolf would, again through PM, tell the mod his victim. If he or she is protected that night, they are safe.)
<>Ambiance<> Seer dream...
(The seer would PM the mod with the name of the person who's role they want to know.)

When they finished this the mod would devoice the person dead and make it morning. If no one was killed no one is voiced. Let's just say the wolf's victim was Steve...

<>Ambiance<> The sun rose again, as it had the day before, but there was something very different about this day.
<>Ambiance<> In the center of the village, Steven's body was found, ripped to shreds. Blood stained the ground.
<>Ambiance<> The scent of the death is thick in the air.
<>Ambiance<> DAY TWO START!

You DO NOT talk until it says start.

The next day they try to figure out what killed the person:

<Rin> Ah! What happened to him?
<Bob> It looks like a wolf or something got to him.
<Sarah> It's one of you! I nominate Bob!
<>Ambiance<> Bob has been nominated, vote now Aye or nay.
<Rin> Aye.
<Bob> Nay.
<Sarah> Aye.
<>Ambiance<> Bob is to be lynched. Kill him as you please.
* Sarah tries a rope around Bob's neck and hangs him from a tree.
<>Ambiance<> Bob chokes to death and he body turns hairy. He was a wolf!
<>Ambiance<> Villagers Win!

That's an example of a game of Werewolf. Every game is different and it's a fun game so I hope you join us.
