Cadre is a term that came to describe certain residents of 2nd and 3rd floor Darrow at Bowling Green State University in the years 1998-2002. The descriptor was coined by Shawn Davidson in an e-mail sent to the group in question:
- I hope to hear from some of you about the [TMBG] concert or whatever else is new and thrilling in your lives. Especially you, Tom, as usual, the moral backbone of the cadre.
Some have questioned how sending an e-mail to Shawn to see what he's up to constitutes a foundation of morality (see link below).
