WFMZ went on the air on Thanksgiving 1976 with two daily newscasts and a mix of Religious and general local programming. In 2006, the Station was sold to Taylor Media Stations Group and started airing Anime National prime-time programming.

The schedule consists of some first run syndicated programs like Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, Jury Duty, Family Feud, Deal or No Deal, Merv Griffin's Crosswords and classic TV shows such as Family Ties, I Love Lucy, Matlock and Hawaii Five-0, and Anime National programming airing during the primetime hours. The station also produces various programs about business, sports and health related issues.
