What is breakcore? breakcore is the response the the vapidity of electronica, repetition and cliche of jungle and gabba, and the chinstroking wankery of IDM.
Good for your headphones or the dance floor. breakcore emphasizes creative deconstruction of breaks, along with non-standard, or sometimes (ALWAYS) tongue-in-cheek use of samples.
Breakcore is an aggressive style of music, much faster than typical electronic music, sometimes utilizing irregular time signatures. Hard kicks, distorted basslines, erratic and spastic drum breaks.
Mostly made on cheap or free software.
