Sunday, September 6, 1953

The meeting of the Seventh Brackbill Reunion held Sunday Sept. 6, 1953 in Paradise Community Park was opened by singing "Faith of Our Fathers". The invocation was given by Norman Hess and Enos Zimmerman read the 12th Chapter of Genesis for the scripture reading.

The minutes of the previous meeting were not read because of the absence of the secretary. The treasurer's report, given by Hebron Brackbill, showed a balance of $11.49 in the treasury.

Benjamin R. Brackbill was in charge of a memorial service for the following:

The president, Harry Brackbill Jr., awarded the prizes of a dollar bill to the following: the youngest, Paul Eckman, 14 months; the oldest Miss Hettie Hershey, 83 Yrs.; and to the person who had come the greatest distance, Mrs. Harry Brackbill Jr.

A male quartet composed of Harry and Herman Brackbill, Ralph Homsher, and Lee Brown sang several selections.

The new officers which were nominated by the committee and duly elected are as follows:

There was a rising vote of thanks for the out-going officers.

The offering amounted to $22.14 and there were fifty one persons registered.

The meeting was adjourned by singing "Blest Be the Tide That Binds". Some of the group remained to eat their picnic lunches.
