We awoke a good bit before it was time to get up — say an hour, then we got up about 5:30 and everything was lovely. I got to the mill on time.

It was not strange getting to work again except things needed a little "tidying up," which it surely got.

It was hot as a bake oven all day and we were busy. John & Allen, went to a funeral after dinner and that meant we would have had to work till about 5:30 to finish.

Supper was fine. Jane went to church to pageant practice. I mowed grass. I got our possessions insured. I shaved while Jane played piano. Near to bed.
