HB Journal for May 11, 1940

Jane, of course, didn't go to work this morning, but I, of course, did. We got everything accomplished quite well and were ready to come home at noon.

After dinner we worked in the garden and mowed the lawn. Showers put an end to outside activities and then I cleaned up and went to the store.

After supper we went down home and experimented with the new speaking system to the house. We had a nice pleasant evening of it.
