When the calendar day came in, I was quietly sitting in the mill office reading or something. I "tended" the mill until Morris relieved me about 4:30 A.M. and then I came home to bed.

I got awake about 9:30 and ate a big breakfast then went to work. I wasn't hungry at dinner time but ate half my dinner. We needed all afternoon to get a heavy schedule completed in time to go to a "feed" meeting in the evening.

We met Donald Danforth, Purina President. He's a real fellow & was worth hearing. P.S. I missed a C.E. social.
