The day was very busy and filled with the ordinary excitement of the day's work.

The biggest part of the day came after supper or after work should have been through. I went back to the mill and worked again. There was flour to be made. I had no visitors but Clyde but kept myself busy with work of all kinds.

I couldn't sleep for different reasons and so came home to bed about two o'clock.
