We started in in quite ordinary fashion this morning. It was a nice morning and we took advantage of it.

After dinner I really went to work around the home here. I mowed the lawn, picked a tree of pears, mowed a patch of weeds and dug and sorted my potatoes.

After a good supper I sat down intending to do something. We got company. Beside Mary Jane, we were visited by Mrs H. McGinnis, Mrs. Bucher, Mrs. Herr & families--Ester, Ursula & 7 Houck Girls.
