After a hot nights sleep we got up late as usual. We weren't downstairs yet when the doorbell rang. Mr. Williams had come to finish the papering in the living room. Herm went off to work and I did my Sat. morn chores. At dinner Herm came home, not feeling at all well. He went to bed and I drove Daddy's car to take a load of delegates and baggage to Chestnut Level. Nancy went along to keep me company. We didn't get back till 5:15. At home Herm was still in bed and did not want much supper, so I ate light too. I sat on the glider, Mrs. Echman came over a while. We looked in vain for Shorty but he did not come. Now I must go see how my patient is getting along.
