HB Journal for Apr 1, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
A red letter day to be sure. We got up at 5:45 this morning for once. It was a lovely day; the bright sun warmed the earth and all that was in it.
Jane took me down to start on my new job. Of course, I was green, but everything seemed to go fine. The day seemed pretty short. We will not be in the new office for a little yet.
After supper we took our load in to C.E. chorus practice. The chorus broke ties with the County C.E. Union, a big step.
Commentary
This was Herman's first day working at the Arthur S. Young Company.
