Dear Jane,

First I want to thank you for your very interesting letter. I wish that I could give you Bill's address but I do not know what it is. The last address I have is:

1716 SW 19th
Portland, Oregon

You might try sending the letter there since Bill's name is on it. It may reach him or it may come back to you.

I am expecting Walter home from England next Wednesday. He has four children--two girls and two boys. We have not seen the boys. Walter plans to take an engineering course at the Univ. of Penn. His family will live in Phila.

My mother is over 91 years old and is quite active. I do most of the housekeeping and shopping. She likes to be out of doors.

All the children are growing so fast that I can hardly keep track of them. I was glad to hear that your children are doing so well. I know that you will do a good job in the bank.

Thanking you for all your trouble in writing me,

I am
Very sincerely yours,
Opal B. Hemphill
