The alarms of the clock had been silenced and as a result, we slept till seven thirty. It was all right, for we needed to be down home not before nine thirty.

To our sorrow, Mother was unable to go with us as planned and so we, Jane, Daddy (Art) & I went to the great York Fair. It was a swell day and we enjoyed it very much.

On our way home we had supper in Columbia. After visiting a little down home, we were glad to get back to our bed.
