It was rather hard to get up but after I stirred a little I didn't mind it a bit. We got real busy and Groffie's being absent was felt, especially by Schnuppie.

After dinner we washed & cleaned up & went to town with Eunice & Val. We bought Jane a dress, me a pair of shoes & us a card table.

We all went to Mary & Willis' for chicken corn soup supper. We ate much. We played croquet by day & by night--then listened to the radio & talked about things. Later it was home for us all.
