After a queer and slightly restless night for both of us, we got up late, both still sleepy and tired.

John was still absent from the mill and there were not many orders. The mill was still still and so we had quite a pleasant day of it.

After supper Jane went to Guild at Mrs. Beaner. We were supposed to have U.C.C.E. meeting but didn't. I picked 2 qt. of raspberries and then settled down to read.

It was rather a lonely evening for I am not used to such isolation. All the company I had was our neighbors radio--which reminds me of a Hotel or something.
