I don't know why, but getting up goes terrible hard for me, even now yet. I thought that, for sure, after I was married I could get out of my bed without a lot of back-biting. Maybe I should do something about it—really, I am getting enough sleep.

Now, at the mill today, we found ourselves busy again. We "changed the sewing" in the office.

We picked & seeded 15 qt of cherries more this evening. Mrs. Y & kids & Ruth came & helped us—we didn't finish till nine thirty. Then everything stopped & Jane went to bed.
