The same fog that bade us "good night" a few hours ago bid me a cheerless "good morning" as I rolled out of bed and stopped the nervous jingling of my faithful alarm clock.

We were busy at the mill but everything went just fine. We worked long again--till after 5:30.

After supper we all went to Choir practice, that is, we four boys. We did fine & played a little ping-pong.

Carl Groff got another car, '37 Ford. Jane & I visited him and sponged a ride. Later we talked silly and also sober. I left for home about eleven in the starlight.
