It seems as if there is never any thing different to write about the first part of the day. Always I rush through my breakfast and hurry to work. I very seldom go reluctantly.

The wind had brought a winter day and had lowered the temperature greatly.

We were "awful" busy at the mill. Why, we worked till 6 o'clock.

After supper, I took Jane to choir practice. Harry went along. We talked and ate prunes after we came home. Although already ten oclock, it seemed early to retire.
