At last the weather is clearing up and it is getting warm.
I got up and helped Jane do the washing then I went down to the office and did a little work till dinner time.
In the afternoon Mother Y. & Nancy came up and helped us can peaches. We also mowed and raked the yard and helped likewise we trimmed the hedge.
In the evening we just listened to a few good programs on the radio.
Commentary
September 2 was wikipedia:Labor Day and so Herman had a half day off.
