The week so far has been pretty tough on me, or for me. It has been hot and we have been busy, but worse than that, I cannot seem to sleep soundly on such hot nights.

Having forgotten to set the alarm last night, we didn't get up till 6 oclock and so had to hurry. [[Groffie]] came up for me and my books--but reluctantly (as I found out later).

It was sprinkling ever so little when we got up this morning. [[Jane Young|Jane]] drove me to [[Groffie]]'s. It was cloudy most all day, and it ended up with a slight thundershower just when Jane & I were ready for a swim. We drove over [[Brackbill Farm|Home]] after work for a swim and, of course, stayed for supper. We listened to the radio & gabbled & read [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_%28magazine%29 "Life"] till we very near fell asleep, then took one of those familiar trips to [[Kinzers]].

Having forgotten to set the alarm last night, we didn't get up till 6 oclock and so had to hurry. Groffie came up for me and my books--but reluctantly (as I found out later).

John was back on the job and they finished working on the dam. We got real busy in the afternoon and worked up a sweat.

After a supper of onions, etc., I didn't do much. Just tried to figure out my personal account.

Jane was busier. She finished ironing, which took quite a while.

I expect to wash & shave yet tonight but it's late now.
